Background on Kursk
The Battle started towards the end of World War 2, at this point the Germans had gotten desperate and would do anything to get an upper hand in the War. So they decided to attack the Russians at the Kursk Salient.

The Importance of Tanks
.Tanks were very important because they were able to easily turn the tide of war and we not very easily disabled. The Germans had a quality advantage but the Russians had a huge quantity advantage with thier tanks.
